Just a couple of months ago, I photographed these two as they waited to meet their little one, and here we were again, on their family’s land, surrounded by the same golden September light, now holding the very reason their world feels so much fuller.
There’s something so sacred about photographing new parents— the quiet awe, the gentleness, the way they instinctively slow down. This evening was soft and unhurried; their baby boy tucked close, the hum of crickets, and the kind of peace that only comes at the beginning of everything new.
Sessions like this remind me why I do what I do— to preserve not just how it looked, but how it felt to stand in the middle of it all, holding something you waited so long for.
