Having never done a couples photo shoot before, I feared that it would feel awkward and that the pictures wouldn’t turn out how I hoped because of something my boyfriend and I would do wrong as the subjects. Morgan was completely helpful at putting us at ease and giving prompts, it felt so natural and the whole session just flowed. Having that time that I don’t always get to spend with my boyfriend was my favorite part, and then even better, getting to see that time from outside of us. Our pictures turned out above and beyond my expectations, Morgan captured us perfectly. When I think the words, “couple photo shoot” and when I see the results of Morgan’s shoots - those two things are not the same. Morgan exceeds all expectations.

Fine art photographic print by Philadelphia family photographer Morgan Ellis
We feel honored to have met such a talented and kind photographer and human being. Morgan Ellis, thank you, for your talent is in truth, and the truth can hold beauty despite the pain.
— Danielle W., A Motherhood Session

Morgan photographed myself and my two little girls, and I will cherish those photos forever. She was so good with the girls, soft and kind, patient and fun, they really responded to her. As a photographer myself, I have had lots of pictures taken by other photographers, but what Morgan was able to capture was truly unique and one of a kind - she documented how I feel about being my daughters’ mother. It was big smiles, belly laughs, playing and tickling, they even brought their “lovies” along to be a part of our session, because that is who they are at this moment in time. I am so lucky to have these images forever.

I feel so eternally blessed to have been gifted with the opportunity to work with Morgan. Her ability to gleefully engage and guide my very energetic toddler’s mind was effortless, genuine, and flowing. Her tender, accepting hand in aligning stray hairs was completely natural, calm, and comfortable. I trusted in full faith that with her eyes, we would be truly seen. The results confirmed what my heart already knew. In truth, I pray that my daughter sees me, and the world sees us, the way Morgan does. In a snapshot of an hour, I know that if documentation of love is ever called for, I want it to be seen in just this light.

I wanted our engagement session to be relaxed and laid back, but still something beautiful that we would always have as a special keepsake. We ended up shooting our photos in our first home together, which makes them that much more special. We loved having Morgan come into our home and hang out with us, she is so easy to talk to and she really made us feel comfortable right from the start, plus, she made us feel like supermodels!

Photographs inspire stories long past our time. They preserve our journey; inspiring laughter, memories, connections, and conversations for generations to come.
I believe that these stories are best told through intimate and emotive photographs and that the best way to preserve them is through print. That’s why I love to give back tangible memories - prints and albums that will exist as daily reminders of who you love and what you love most about those people.
